MIE Scholarship Program

Introduction 

The MIE grant invests a significant amount of funds in the MIE Scholarship Program. STEM majors at UMET with a GPA equal or greater than 3.0, applied to the MIE Scholarship.  In order to keep the MIE Scholarship they need to maintain the GPA, engage in research during the summers and present their research outcomes in the MIE Annual Symposia in Puerto Rico, and National Conference such as SACNAS, ABRCMS, Tapia Annual Conferences, among others.  The graduation rate of MIE Scholars was over 85% at UMET.
